I haven’t been to France in awhile and I’m really itching to get back, specifically to one of my favorite wine regions: Languedoc-Roussillon. The effect that the warm air off of the Mediterranean has when it meets the cooler air from the north forges a wine-style that has a lot of personality. In fact, I remember a time when I was heavily into learning wine and this was just such a standout region for me. And some friends of mine are exploring it right now, and word is, they’ve found a true gem of a chateau where I can lay my head the next time I visit.
