Can Humans See In The Dark?

Did you know that humans are 100% capable of seeing in absolute blackness?  All it takes is a few moments for your eyes to adjust. I learned this fun fact in small hut in Tanzania, where I walked into the front space of a three compartment home and felt for a seat.  There was no electricity, not a wince of natural light, just a small family home.  Not long after I found my seat across from Ole Dulap and shared a conversation while his wife and daughter looked on – in maybe just five or ten minutes, my eyes adjusted and I could see all subjects in the room as plainly as if I were sitting in daylight.  Astounding.
